DISCEASES OF DIGESTIVE SYSTEM

Digestive System Diagrams

There are a couple of different types of diagrams of the digestive system that I want to show you. In this first diagram you'll see the basic major parts of the digestive system. They include:

  • mouth
  • esophagus
  • stomach
  • pancreas
  • gall bladder
  • liver
  • small intestine
  • large intestine
  • rectum


Digestion actually starts in the mouth. Your saliva glands produce digestive enzymes that begin the digestive process. Each action sends signals to the next part of the body to prepare them for the job ahead.
